On a Cape Peninsula tour many guests like to take the boat trip to seal island which takes around 45 minutes in total. A colony of Cape Fur seals live on Duiker Island and you can see these extraordinary mammals in their natural habitat.
At 12pm lunchtime, Drumbeat Charters offer a special cruise which visits seal island and then contimues on to see the shipwreck The Bos 400. The Bos 400 was one of the most powerful crane barges in the world which was on it's way to the Cape Town harbour for refurbishment in July 1994 when she became shipwrecked in stormy weather at Maori Bay.
This shipwreck is really is quite something to see, and this special cruise to see both the seals and The Boss 400 is only around an hour.
Before and after the cruise you can browse the stalls and you can always count on the Hout Bay minstrels to welcome you back from your boat trip.
