We meet at a convenient spot and proceed on foot at a comfortable pace. It is very easy to take an uber or taxi, and I usually select a hotel or café as our meeting place.
At the end of the tour, I ensure that you are in a convenient place to take an uber/taxi to your next destination.
I have an BA (Hons) degree in History, and a volunteer role in the Cape Town Heritage Foundation, involved with heritage preservation, education awareness, and the blue plaque programme.
I am looking forward to meeting you.
Our historic city bowl is rich in heritage and offers a mix of historical buildings, architecture, museums, churches, art galleries, boutique shops, artisanal coffee shops and cute eating spots.

She goes the extra mile and we couldn't recommend a better guide to see Cape Town with.Posted on Yvonne BVerified Informative and most enjoyable Lesley is a first class guide to Cape Town. Friendly and engaging, her knowledge of the geography, architecture, history and culture of Cape Town was outstanding. Great recommendations also for art galleries and restaurants. Highly recommend this guide. Thanks Lesley , we had a most enjoyable time.Posted on KonstanzeGVerified A super tour tailor made insightful and interesting . We booked Lesley very last minute for a private walking tour of Cape Town. She could not have been more responsive and helpful and made our day in a rather cold and rainy Cape Town very memorable and special. She tailored the walk to our interest and we saw and learned far more than expected. A great start at truth coffee, we took in art deco buildings, two churches, The Nelson Mandela exhibition at the city hall, parliament building and much more, ending with a late lunch at the mount Nelson. We can very much recommend Lesley for an insightful and balanced tour of a vibrant city. Thank you for answering our many questions and apologies it took so long to write this.Posted on Jeanette HVerified Apartheid to Freedom Tour This tour was the beginning of our education on apartheid in Cape Town. We left from Church Square, and walked the few blocks to St. George's Cathedral, Desmond Tutu's church. From there we visited several sites that played key roles in the story of suppression and racism. Our guide was filled with passion and energy and covered a great deal of history in a short time. Highly recommend this tour.Posted on Sarah VVerified Such varied history in a small area Lesley was informative, flexible and entertaining. She showed us a variety of the city center's 350 years of history through architecture, significant places, art work and current interesting spots. We went with two teens and she kept them interested.Sure was a fabulous find and I highly recommend her.Posted on Helen vSVerified Cape Town - a new perspective ! Lesley is a wonderful caring guide. Our group of 8 was a mixture of Capetonians and some USA friends. As locals, Lesley shared treasures and special stories about Cape Town that we didn’t know about. We were all enticed and enriched by our time together. Lesley’s passion for SA history shines. She was also so cool about slowing down or picking up the pace where needed for all ages in our group. Perfect in all ways! A highlight was supporting the flower sellers and laying flowers down for Bishop Desmond Tutu - who has just past. Also, being an art enthusiast, I loved the knowledge Lesley shared about the art installations we saw en route. We are pleased to have found somebody who can show us around other areas of Cape Town and add more depth to our city.Posted on Elyse424Verified Excellent Walking Tour of Cape Town Lesley was able to show me parts of Cape Town that I have never seen previously, places that I would have missed otherwise. I highly recommend the tour.Posted on Sharon BVerified History and art of Cape Town I was particularly lucky to be in a small group on the walking tour of central Cape Town with Lesley because she tailored it to our main interests. Lesley pointed out unusual art that I had walked by many times without noticing and she shared her keen knowledge and interest in the history of Cape Town. In addition, because my camera was not working properly Lesley later sent me several photos.
