Jean Doyle is our local internationally acclaimed bronze sculptor who is known for her lovely bronze sculptures of beautiful ladies with the fuller figure.  At her home in Wynberg she has a vast array of bronze statues of ladies dancing, sun bathing and working.  Ladies celebrating their body shapes in their daily lives.

A fuller figure does not stop these ladies from dancing and enjoying themselves. These sculptures are exhibited at her home in Wynberg

While you are touring around the Cape you are likely to some of Jean Doyle's commissions.  A stop in Simon's Town to learn about the legend of Just Nuisance, the great dane who assisted the sailors during World War II.

While visiting Franschhoek in the our wine region, take a pause at Drakenstein prison where Nelson Mandela was released from Prison, February 11, 1990.  Tokyo Sexale commissioned Jean Doyle to make the magnificent bronze sculpture to depict the day of his release as a gift for Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday.
