Wine region – gastronomic experiences

There are plenty of flavour sensations in the wine region and this tour is designed for guests who would like to enjoy a variety of tastings that this region has to offer.

After collection from your hotel we will drive around 45 minutes towards Somerset West and visit one of the top producers of olive oil in South Africa.  Here you will try a selection of olive oils, olives and olive pastes.

From here we move towards Stellenbosch and on route stop at a picturesque vineyard offering a wine and chocolate pairing.

Next stop is Stellenbosch and our second oldest town in South Africa.  We will see the numerous heritage buildings with Cape Dutch architecture and have time to explore some of the boutique shops which are tucked away on side streets.

We will then travel towards Franschhoek and enjoy lunch on a vineyard which has great food and excellent views to match.  Franschhoek is a smaller quaint village and established by the French Huguenots in the late 1600s.

Our final gastronomic stop will be at a vineyard offering wine and cheese pairing.
